Who teaches Good News Club?

Christians who are concerned for boys and girls work together volunteering their time and energy to teach Good News Club. They are trained by Child Evangelism Fellowship to have a club that is exciting and informative so that children will want to keep coming. Teachers sign the CEF Statement of Faith and agree to abide by the policies of the organization. Adults that volunteer with the program are screened according to our child protection policy.

What is taught at Good News Club?

Each week an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF is presented. This action-packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a missions story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme.
Each club includes a clear presentation of the Gospel and an opportunity for children to trust the Lord Jesus as Savior. Every club also includes strong discipleship training to build character and strengthen moral and spiritual growth. Therefore, all children are encouraged to attend a local church.

Every Wedenesday

September 11, 2024 – April 30, 2025

1:00 – 2:30 PM

Good News Club students are dismissed together from school and are accompanied by school staff to the front of the school where they meet up with the Good News Club volunteers from College Street Baptist Church.  From there the volunteers will walk with the students as a group safely to the church.

The Club is held inside the metal building at 207 N. College Street and the kids are dismissed at 2:30 where they are to be picked up by their guardian.  Pick up line starts at the awning between the church building and metal building and wraps around the back of the church to the parking lot on the other side of the church building.
